Mena Alexandera Suvari is an American actress, model and designer. Born on 13 February 1979. She began her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved into acting, after guest appearances on television series like Boy Meets World or High Incident. She debuted in film with the show Nowhere that was released in 1997. Her roles were in American Beauty, for which she was awarded a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie attracted a lot of public attention. She was in the film industry for a year, and starred alongside her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. She then played the lead part on the film Sugar & Spice (2000). Spun, an independent drama released in 2002 as well as the suspense film Trauma (2004) was her two most recent appearances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as an Outstanding Cast member in the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
